Frequently Asked Questions

How do I RSVP?

You can RSVP by following this link to our digital RSVP site. Simply enter your full name and select your party.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. A cocktail dress, gown, dressy separates and suits or sport coats with a tie are appropriate. We invite you to take this as an opportunity to dress up!

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation includes “guest,” you are welcome to bring a plus one! Please include their full name when you RSVP.

Can I bring my kids?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event with the exception of our immediate family members. We encourage you to take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night to yourselves!

What should I do if I have a food allergy/dietary restriction?

When you RSVP there will be an option to include any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Our catering team is happy to accommodate most requests, and there will be no items containing peanuts or tree nuts served at any of our hosted weekend events.

Is there parking at the venue?

Our venue, The Ivy House, offers free parking in their lot directly outside of the venue. Overnight parking is available (please no drinking and driving!) but they ask that all cars be retrieved by 10 AM the following morning.

Will there be transportation?

More information coming soon!

Is the wedding outside?

The ceremony and reception will be held inside. Weather permitting, we will be having our cocktail hour outside on The Ivy House’s Fernweh patio.

What will the weather be like?

For our guests traveling from out of state, midwest summers can be a bit unpredictable, but typically favor warm weather and a bit of humidity (although nothing compared to the Georgia heat). You can head closer to the lake to enjoy cooler temperatures thanks to the “lake effect.”

Is there a gift registry?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to give a gift, we are registered through Zola. We have been lucky to have already been living together for many years, and have therefore already started our homeware collections. This is why we have also created a few cash funds (accessible through our Zola registry) for those who may wish to contribute towards experiences on our honeymoon or at home.

Whether or not you would like to give a gift, we ask that you do consider writing a card. As lovers of analog media with a strong sentimental side, we love and treasure all written notes we’ve received from our loved ones!

What should we do with our free time?

We’re so glad you asked! We have shared a few suggestions on our Things to Do in Milwaukee page.
